Introduction and Objective: Organizational performance is an indicator of how well an organization achieves its predetermined goals. Likewise, intrapreneurship refers to the innovative, risk-taking, and value-creating activities of employees aimed at developing new products, services, or processes within an organization. This research examined the impact of organizational performance on intrapreneurship within sports federations in Herat province. Methodology: This study was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population consisted of officials from federations and specific sports styles in Herat province, comprising 54 federation officials and 10 sports-style officials. Due to the limited size of the research population, a census (survey) method was employed. The data collection instruments were two standardized questionnaires: the Hersey and Goldsmith (2007) organizational performance questionnaire and the Cornwall and Perlman (1384) intrapreneurship questionnaire. The validity and reliability of the questionnaires were confirmed. Data were analysed using SPSS version 26, employing descriptive and inferential statistics (Shapiro-Wilk test and Spearman's correlation test). Findings: Contrary to theoretical expectations, there is no significant relationship between organizational performance and intrapreneurship. Furthermore, none of the demographic variables (age, experience, and education) created a significant difference in intrapreneurship. The only significant difference observed was the effect of education level on organizational performance, with the master's degree group scoring lower than the bachelor's degree group; however, this finding may be attributable to the small sample size of the master's degree group. Conclusion: The results of the present research indicate that within the bureaucratic context of sports federations in Herat, organizational performance alone is not a driver of intrapreneurship, and factors such as organizational culture, administrative structures, and the weakness of indigenous instruments overshadow this relationship.
