Abstract: Biochemistry is a science that studies chemical reactions which take place inside organisms. This science combined Biology and Chemistry. In other words, Biochemistry is a branch of science that discusses living systems and their compounds. Inanimate compounds are the building blocks of living organisms. These compounds are known as biomolecules, it is classified as energetic and non-energetic. The aim of the present research paper is performance review of glycolysis and gluconeogenesis focuses on human body. In mammalian it occurs in liver, kidney and small intestine, glucose uses for brain, muscles, and red blood cells. This research paper is a review paper, Data in this research paper was collected from different sources and collected from previous analysis and experimental results. Then the concept of glycolysis and its steps, performance, and location have been studied, and gluconeogenesis and its steps are also evaluated. At the end of this topic should say glycolysis and gluconeogenesis regulate and vice versa each other to prevent the uselessness of both pathways.
