Publication Policies
Publication Policies
The journal Advances in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (ACS&AI) has very high academic and ethical standards at its very core to ensure that its publications are of the highest quality and are transparent. Every submission must be in line with the journal's aims, scope, and guidelines for authors. The publication policies are made explicitly so that authors and others interested know about the practices of submission, review, and post-publication.
- Originality and Plagiarism: The publications that are being submitted to the journal must be original creations, and they should not be in consideration or have been published in any other place. Very effective methods for detection get used to screening the manuscripts that are being submitted for plagiarism. The authors are the ones who are responsible to ensure that their work does not contain any kind of plagiarism at all, including unintentional self-plagiarism.
- Peer Review: The double-blind peer-review of ACS&AI is where both the authors and the reviewers do not know each other's identities. The expert reviewers assess the submissions on the grounds of scientific rigor, novelty, relevance, and clarity. The Editors make the final decisions about acceptance based on their understanding of the recommendations made by the reviewers.
- Ethical Standards: Any research which involves humans, animals, or sensitive data must strictly follow the ethical guidelines and get the proper institutional approvals. The authors must state any conflicts of interest, the sources of funding, and the contributions made by all co-authors.
- Open Access and Licensing: The ACS&AI journal is an open-access journal. It means every published paper is available free of charge to the user and can be shared without any restrictions. Proper citation is needed, however, since the articles fall under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
- Archiving and DOI Assignment: The PKP Preservation Network keeps all articles in its eternal archive, and each article receives a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) which ensures its continuous identification and access.
- Corrections, Retractions, and Withdrawals: The journal reserves the right to announce publishing of corrections, retractions, or withdrawal in case post-publication issues occur such as ethical violations or the presence of errors that compromise the scientific integrity of the research.
- Author Responsibilities: The authors bear the responsibility for the data's accuracy, proper citation of the sources, adherence to ethical standards, the compliance with ACS&AI submission guidelines.
- Editorial Discretion: The Editor-in-Chief has the power to decide ultimately on acceptance, revision, or rejection of manuscripts as well as on the publication order, considering quality, thematic relevance, and the diversity of authorship.
