Through contemplation on religious teachings and other credible Islamic sources, economic evils have a broad concept and a specific nature. Any deviation or deviation from the legal principles that disrupt the economic system is considered economic evil. Economic evils are both an ancient phenomenon in content and a modern one in their methods, with various roots and consequences. In current circumstances, they have become one of the principal phenomena at the national and international levels. Considering the principle of the necessity to combat economic evils, the lack of theoretical discussions, and the absence of a proper scientific plan and strategy, it is essential to emphasize the importance of analysing verses and narrations. This analysis leads to an understanding of the various dimensions of economic evils. The central question raised is: What are the roots and main causes of economic evils from the Islamic perspective? Islam, with its comprehensive and holistic view, firmly opposes all forms and manifestations of economic evils in Islamic society. The theoretical and practical directives of Islam each play a restraining and controlling role in short-term and long-term terms, combating economic evils at both individual and societal levels. The research findings indicate that a combination of internal factors (belief, ethics, and psychological) and external factors (cultural, social, and economic) are effective in the occurrence of economic evils. Each of these factors has mutual relationships with one another. This research also reveals that religious teachings have designed a comprehensive and precise program with their specific practical and theoretical methods. The present study utilizes a descriptive-analytical method, and information is collected through library research by consulting original texts and reliable scientific and religious sources.
