Abstract

Sustainable agriculture, as a modern approach to natural resource management and agricultural production, plays an important role in increasing productivity, preserving the environment, and improving the livelihoods of rural communities. The aim of this study is to examine the role of sustainable agriculture in improving the economic situation of rural families. This research was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method and a review of relevant scientific literature. The findings indicate that the use of sustainable agricultural practices-such as reducing chemical inputs, applying organic fertilizers, improving water management, and crop diversification-leads to increased agricultural production, reduced production costs, and improved household income. In addition, sustainable agriculture strengthens the resilience of production systems against climate change, thereby enhancing food security and economic stability at the household level. The results of this study show that the development of sustainable agriculture can be used as an effective strategy for reducing rural poverty and improving the economic welfare of families. It is therefore recommended that policymakers support farmer education, promote sustainable technologies, and provide financial facilities to facilitate the expansion of this type of agriculture. The necessary background information for this study was collected from reputable books, scientific articles, journals, and theses. The findings were derived from the analysed collected data and presented in the results section after thorough analysis.
