Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is double-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

Manuscripts submitted to Advances in Agriculture and Sustainability must be prepared in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. They should conform to the highest standards of academic writing and scientific reporting. Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure that their manuscripts are carefully edited before submission.

GENERAL FORMATTING

Manuscripts should be prepared using standard word-processing software (Microsoft Word is preferred). The text should be typed in a clear, readable font (e.g., Times New Roman, 10-point size), double-spaced throughout, with continuous line numbering and page numbers. All margins should be set to at least 2.5 cm.

STRUCTURE OF THE MANUSCRIPT

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

TITLE PAGE

The title page should include a concise and informative title, the full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author. Author names and affiliations must be omitted from the main manuscript file to ensure double-blind peer review.

ABSTRACT
The abstract should be a single paragraph of no more than 250 words, clearly summarizing the objectives, methodology, key results, and main conclusions of the study. The abstract should be understandable without reference to the main text and should not contain citations.

KEYWORDS
Authors should provide 4–6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript and facilitate indexing and discoverability.

INTRODUCTION
The introduction should clearly state the research problem, provide a concise review of relevant literature, and explain the objectives and significance of the study.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

This section should provide sufficient detail to allow the research to be replicated. Authors must clearly describe study design, data sources, sampling procedures, analytical methods, and statistical analyses. Ethical approval and consent statements should be included where applicable.

RESULTS
Results should be presented clearly and objectively, without interpretation. Tables and figures should be used to enhance clarity and must not duplicate information already provide in the text.

DISCUSSION
The discussion should interpret the results in the context of existing literature, highlight the significance of the findings, and discuss limitations and implications for future research and practice.

CONCLUSION
The conclusion should summarize the main findings and their relevance to agriculture and sustainability, without repeating results in detail.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Acknowledgements should be brief and include funding sources, institutional support, and contributions from individuals who do not meet the criteria for authorship.

DECLARATIONS
Authors must include declarations regarding conflicts of interest, funding, ethical approval, data availability, and author contributions, where applicable.

REFERENCES
References should be formatted according to the journal’s prescribed reference style and must be complete and accurate. Authors are responsible for ensuring the correctness of all citations.

TABLES AND FIGURES

Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and cited in the text in the order of appearance. Each table and figure must have a clear, descriptive caption. Figures should be of high resolution and submitted as separate files if required by the submission system.

UNITS, ABBREVIATIONS, AND SYMBOLS

SI units must be used throughout the manuscript. Abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter.

ETHICAL AND REPORTING STANDARDS

Manuscripts reporting original research must comply with recognized ethical standards. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed. The journal reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet ethical, scientific, or reporting requirements.
